Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

1. Section 108 of the Employment Insurance Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (4):
|
|
|
|

Insurable Earnings and Collection of Premiums Regulations
|
|
(5) The Minister shall, within 90 days after this subsection comes into force, amend the Insurable Earnings and Collection of Premiums Regulations to provide that gratuities received by an insured person are included in their earnings from insurable employment for the purpose of calculating their employee premiums.
|
|
|
|
(5) Dans les quatre-vingt-dix jours suivant l’entrée en vigueur du présent paragraphe, le ministre modifie le Règlement sur la rémunération assurable et la perception des cotisations afin de prévoir que les pourboires reçus par un assuré font partie de sa rémunération provenant d’un emploi assurable aux fins du calcul des cotisations ouvrières.
