From September 5 to 7, 2024, the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Greg Fergus, P.C., M.P., participated in the 22nd Meeting of the Speakers of the Lower Houses of the G7 in Verona, Italy.

Parliamentary Associations Associations promote the country’s interests abroad on a continuing basis and are composed of both members of the Senate and of the House of Commons. There are 8 Multilateral Associations and 5 Bilateral Associations.

Accompanying the Speaker was Tommy Desfossés, Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Office of the Speaker of the House of Commons. In Washington, the Speaker met with: The Honourable Mike Johnson, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives (Rescheduled to February 24, 2025);

From April 11 to 14, 2023, the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Anthony Rota, M.P., led a parliamentary delegation on a visit to the Kingdom of Denmark and the Kingdom of Sweden.

From October 18 to 19, 2013, the Speaker of the Senate, the Honourable Noël A. Kinsella, led a parliamentary delegation on an official visit to the United Kingdom. The delegation was composed of the Honourable David Smith, P.C., Senator, and Mr. Joe Preston, M.P. Accompanying the delegation was Ms. Janelle Feldstein, Chief of Staff of the Speaker of the Senate.

From March 3–5, 2020, the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Anthony Rota, M.P., and the Honourable Patricia Bovey, Senator, on behalf of the Honourable George J. Furey, Q.C., Speaker of the Senate, led a parliamentary delegation to the XXIII Mexico–Canada Interparliamentary Meeting in Mexico City, Mexico.

From June 30 to July 4, 2023, the Honourable Raymonde Gagné, Speaker of the Senate, and Mr. Chris d’Entremont, M.P., Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, participated in the 30th Annual Session of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), in Vancouver, B.C.

From October 14 to 18, 2024, the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Greg Fergus, P.C., M.P., led a parliamentary delegation to Ukraine and the Republic of Poland.
