The Parliament of Canada is a founding member. To facilitate communication between the branches and the General Secretariat, branches are grouped into four regions: the European region; the African region; the Asia-Pacific region; and the American region, which includes the Canadian Branch and 14 provincial branches.

The Canadian delegation was led by Member of Parliament Marie-France Lalonde, Chair of the Canadian branch of the Association, and consisted of Senator René Cormier, Association’s Vice-Chair, as well as Members of Parliament Lena Metlege Diab, Fayçal El-Khoury, Laila Goodridge, Denis Trudel and Dominique Vien.
