From July 10-12, 2011, the Honourable Senator Janis Johnson led a delegation of members of the Canadian Section of the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group (IPG) to the 35 th Annual Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers (NEG/ECP) in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

From July 14-16, 2013, a delegation from the Canadian Section of the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group (IPG) attended the sixth annual meeting of the Southeastern United States-Canadian Provinces (SEUS-CP) Alliance in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Other topics of discussion included recent developments in Canada–EU political and economic relations, such as the export of COVID-19 vaccines, the COVAX initiative for global equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines, and the need for transparent public procurement.

At the meeting, the America Region Chargé de mission, Lena Metlege Diab (Member of the Legislative Assembly, Nova Scotia) reported on last year’s activities.
