The Honourable Noël A. Kinsella, Speaker of the Senate, and a Parliamentary Delegation visited the Federal Republic of Germany, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the State of Qatar, from February 17-24, 2012.

She concluded by talking about her own parliamentary initiatives as well as those of the Canadian government. In the third part, Executive Committee members heard presentations on climate change issues.

The Government of Canada was one of twelve event co-sponsors. During the discussion, panelists explained how social media platforms and digital spaces are being used to harass women and girl leaders, in some cases starting a cycle of behaviour that escalates to threats and acts of violence.

The second day of the workshop featured breakout rooms where groups of participants discussed their role in addressing sports trafficking. Adeline Dumoulin (CPA UK) and Lerina Bright (Mission 89) facilitated one of the breakout rooms for parliamentarians and parliamentary officials.

Mrs. Doris Stump (Switzerland) stated that during the Executive Committee meeting, she had spoken out against the amendment, but that the Kuwaiti representative had fought hard to have it included, and won the day.
