The devolution of powers to the Welsh Assembly was discussed at length. Contrasts were made between Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The results of the recent referendum on March 3, 2011 which allocated further powers for making laws in Wales to the National Assembly was of great interest to the delegation.
