This report provides an overview of the delegation’s participation in the 34th Annual Inter-parliamentary meeting between the Canadian Parliament and the European Parliament, as well as meetings attended in Copenhagen focussing on Denmark’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU).

The Annual Session, which is held in July and hosted by the parliament of a participating State, is the most important event in the OSCE PA calendar. At the Annual Session, the Standing Committee adopts the budget for the next fiscal year, adopts the agenda for the Session, and hears reports from the President and from the Secretariat.

The Canadian delegation was led by Member of Parliament Marie-France Lalonde, Chair of the Canadian branch of the Association, and consisted of Senator René Cormier, Association’s Vice-Chair, as well as Members of Parliament Lena Metlege Diab, Fayçal El-Khoury, Laila Goodridge, Denis Trudel and Dominique Vien.
