It also cooperates with regional inter-parliamentary organizations, as well as with international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations which are motivated by the same ideals. At the close of the 119 th Assembly, 154 national parliaments were members of the IPU and eight regional parliamentary assemblies were associate members.
