A Canadian delegation participated in a parliamentary meeting that is held every year when the UN Commission on the Status of Women meets in New York. Le 3 juin 2021, l’Association parlementaire du Commonwealth (APC) et l’International Parliamentary Network for Education ont organisé une table ronde virtuelle à l’intention des parlementaires de tous les pays du Commonwealth.

Le 8 mai 2020, M. Marc Serré, président de la Section canadienne de ParlAmericas, a participé à un webinaire sur la poursuite des travaux parlementaires en ligne pendant la pandémie de COVID-19 organisé par le consortium Open Parliament e-Network composé de nombreuses organisations internationales comme ParlAmericas.

Entre 60 000 et 80 000 touristes débarquent chaque année; certains navires transportent jusqu’à 5 500 passagers. Il indique que l’entente sur la recherche et le sauvetage signée par les États membres du Conseil de l’Arctique constitue un bon point de départ, mais qu’elle n’offre pas une meilleure capacité pour ce type d’opérations.
