Report of the Canadian Parliamentary Delegation to the National Governors Association – 2007 Annual Meeting: Innovation America Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group Traverse City, Michigan July 20-23, 2007

Leading up to the 65th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, which is due to be held from 21–27 August 2021 in Halifax, Canada, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Headquarters Secretariat hosted virtual workshops.

From 10–13 December 2015, two Vice-Chairs from the Canadian Section of the Canada–United States Inter-Parliamentary Group – Senator Michael L. MacDonald and Senator Wilfred Moore, Q.C. – led a delegation to the annual national conference of the Council of State Governments (CSG) in Nashville, Tennessee. The other members of the delegation were Senator Jane Cordy and Senator Dan Lang.

In 1998, Parliament passed the Government of Wales Act, a piece of legislation establishing the National Assembly for Wales and setting out its constitution. The Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group aims to find points of convergence in respective national policies, to initiate dialogue on points of divergence, to encourage the exchange of information and to promote better understanding among legislators on shared issues of concern.

A delegation of three parliamentarians from the Canada-Europe Parliamentary Association travelled to Strasbourg to participate in the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), in which Canada enjoys observer status along with Israel and Mexico.
