Canada as a whole makes up one of the regions of the CPA, and its 14 branches correspond to the provincial and territorial legislative assemblies and the federal Parliament. Within the Canadian region, legislators can take part in a wide range of exchange programs, conferences and seminars.

It also met with Francophone organizations at the Maison de la Francophonie de Vancouver and with the Cercle des dirigeants français. The 48 th Annual Meeting provided an opportunity to develop and strengthen the ties between Canadian and French parliamentarians and to exchange on topics of common interest.
