The Canadian Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (UIPU) was represented by Senator Donna Dasko, Senator Rosa Galvez, Senator Marilou McPhedran, Ms. Iqra Khalid, MP, Ms. Heather McPherson, MP, and Ms. Julie Vignola, MP. Ms. McPherson was a featured panellist.

The Board approved the report from the 63rd Board of Directors meeting and Senator Galvez presented the organization’s proposed budget for 2023–2024, which was approved along with the 2023–2024 workplan.

On October 26, 2023, a ceremony was held to mark the 20th anniversary of the Canada-Africa Parliamentary Association (CAAF) and to pay tribute to its co-founders, the Honourable Raynell Andreychuk, Senator from 1993 to 2019, and the late Honourable Mauril Bélanger, Member of Parliament for Ottawa-Vanier from 1995 to 2016.

The Hon.
