SUMMARY
The purpose of this enactment is to authorize the publication of information relating to a young person who has been dealt with under the Youth Criminal Justice Act once that person has been charged as an adult under the Criminal Code.
SOMMAIRE
Le texte a pour objet d’autoriser la publication de renseignements concernant un adolescent qui a fait l’objet de mesures prises sous le régime de la Loi sur le système de justice pénale pour les adolescents, dans les cas où il est inculpé comme adulte en vertu du Code criminel.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Sénat et de la Chambre des communes du Canada, édicte :

1. Subsection 110(2) of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is amended by striking out “and” at the end of paragraph (b), by adding “and” at the end of paragraph (c) and by adding the following after paragraph (c):
1. Le paragraphe 110(2) de la Loi sur le système de justice pénale pour les adolescents est modifié par adjonction, après l’alinéa c), de ce qui suit :
(d) in a case where the information relates to a young person who is charged with an offence under the Criminal Code after attaining the age of eighteen years.
d) concernent un adolescent qui est inculpé d'une infraction en vertu du Code criminel après avoir atteint l'âge de dix-huit ans.
