An Act to amend the Patent Act (patented medicines)

R.S., c. P-4

      Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

1. Subsection 55.2(4) of the Patent Act is repealed.

2. For greater certainty, any obligation imposed on the Minister or a person under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations, registered as SOR/93-133, ceases to have effect on the coming into force of this Act.

3. This Act comes into force three months after the day on which it receives royal assent.
