SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi sur le ministère des Travaux publics et des Services gouvernementaux afin d’exiger que le ministre puisse autoriser l’utilisation du bois ou de toute autre chose qui offre des avantages pour l’environnement dans l’élaboration des exigences relatives aux ouvrages publics.
SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act to require that the Minister may, in developing requirements for public works, allow the use of wood or any other thing that achieves environmental benefits.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1 L’article 7 de la Loi sur le ministère des Travaux publics et des Services gouvernementaux est modifié par adjonction, après le paragraphe (1), de ce qui suit :
1 Section 7 of the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (1):

(1.1) In Début de l'insertion developing requirements with respect Fin de l'insertion to the construction, maintenance or repair of public works, federal real property or federal immovables, the Minister shall Début de l'insertion consider any Fin de l'insertion reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and any Début de l'insertion other environmental benefits and may allow Fin de l'insertion the use of wood Début de l'insertion or any other thing — including a material, product or sustainable resource — that achieves such benefits Fin de l'insertion .
