SUMMARY
This enactment amends Part 1 of Schedule VI to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act to add certain substances used in the production of fentanyl, so that they will be regulated as Class A precursors.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
1 Part 1 of Schedule VI to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act is amended by adding the following after item 24:
25 Propionyl chloride
26 1-Phenethyl-4-piperidone and its salts
27 4-Piperidone and its salts
28 Norfentanyl (N-phenyl-N-piperidin-4-ylpropanamide) and its salts
29 1-Phenethylpiperidin-4-ylidenephenylamine and its salts
30 N-Phenyl-4-piperidinamine and its salts
