SUMMARY
The purpose of this enactment is to give greater protection to public transportation workers by creating a new Criminal Code offence of first degree murder, and by imposing a greater punishment for the offence of aggravated assault in cases where such workers are the victims.

Le texte vise à améliorer la protection des employés des services de transport en commun en ajoutant au Code criminel une nouvelle infraction de meurtre au premier degré et en rendant plus sévère la peine pour l’infraction de voies de fait graves dans les cas où la victime est l’un de ces employés.
