Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
|
|
|
|

1. The Investment Canada Act is amended by adding the following after section 36:
|
|
|
|

Disclosure – undertakings and demands
|
|
36.1 Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act or of any other Act of Parliament, the Minister shall, on written application by a Canadian citizen, publish in the Canada Gazette the information contained in
|
|
|
|
(a) all written undertakings given under this Act to Her Majesty in right of Canada by a non-Canadian in respect of the investments identified in the application; and
|
|
|
|
(b) all demands sent by the Minister under section 39 to a non-Canadian in respect of those undertakings, other than demands sent for the purposes of the administration or enforcement of Part IV.1.
|
|
|
|
36.1 Malgré les autres dispositions de la présente loi ou de toute autre loi fédérale, le ministre publie dans la Gazette du Canada, sur demande écrite de tout citoyen canadien, les renseignements contenus dans :
|
|
Publication – engagements et mises en demeure
|
|
a) les engagements écrits envers Sa Majesté du chef du Canada pris dans le cadre de la présente loi par un non-Canadien à l’égard des investissements mentionnés dans la demande d’examen;
|
|
|
|
b) les mises en demeure délivrées aux termes de l’article 39 à un non-Canadien relativement à ces engagements, autres que celles délivrées dans le cadre de l’application de la partie IV.1.
