SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Financial Administration Act to achieve balanced representation in the number of women and men serving as directors on boards of parent Crown corporations by requiring that the proportion of each sex on those boards is not less than 40 per cent.
The enactment provides that the obligation to achieve parity of each sex takes effect incrementally, at the end of three-year and six-year periods.

Le texte modifie la Loi sur la gestion des finances publiques afin d’exiger une représentation équilibrée des femmes et des hommes au sein des conseils d’administration des sociétés d’État mères en fixant à quarante pour cent la proportion minimale d’administrateurs de chaque sexe.
Le texte prévoit que l’obligation de parité femmes-hommes sera mise en oeuvre graduellement, soit à la fin d’une période de trois ans et d’une période de six ans.
