SUMMARY The purpose of this enactment is to authorize the publication of information relating to a young person who has been dealt with under the Youth Criminal Justice Act once that person has been charged as an adult under the Criminal Code with an indictable offence or an offence punishable on summary conviction.		SOMMAIRE Le texte a pour objet d’autoriser la publication de renseignements concernant un adolescent qui a fait l’objet de mesures prises sous le régime de la Loi sur le système de justice pénale pour les adolescents, dans les cas où il est inculpé comme adulte, en vertu du Code criminel, d’un acte criminel ou d’une infraction punissable sur déclaration de culpabilité par procédure sommaire.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Sénat et de la Chambre des communes du Canada, édicte :

1. Subsection 110(2) of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is amended by striking out “and” at the end of paragraph (b), by adding “and” at the end of paragraph (c) and by adding the following after paragraph (c):

1. Le paragraphe 110(2) de la Loi sur le système de justice pénale pour les adolescents est modifié par adjonction, après l’alinéa c), de ce qui suit :

(d) in a case where the information relates to a young person who is eighteen years old or older and has been charged under the Criminal Code with an indictable offence or an offence punishable on summary conviction.

d) concernent un adolescent de dix-huit ans ou plus qui est inculpé en vertu du Code criminel d’un acte criminel ou d’une infraction punissable sur déclaration de culpabilité par procédure sommaire.
