SUMMARY
This enactment establishes an independent Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development who is directly accountable to both Houses of Parliament. It also makes related and consequential amendments to other Acts. In particular, the provisions of the Auditor General Act that establish the Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development are repealed.
