Mi’kmaq Education Act
324. Subsection 10(3) of the Mi’kmaq Education Act is replaced by the following:
Application of Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act
(3) For greater certainty, Part 19 of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act applies to the corporation and, in the application of section 160 of that Act to the corporation, a reference to members shall be read as a reference to directors.

325. Subsection 31(3) of the Physical Activity and Sport Act is replaced by the following:
Non-application of certain acts
(3) The Canada Corporations Act, chapter C-32 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1970, and the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act do not apply to the Centre.

326. Subsection 55(1) of the Pilotage Act, as enacted by section 317 of the Canada Shipping Act, 2001, is replaced by the following:

55. (1) The CPQH is deemed to be a corporation to which Part 19 of the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act applies.

327. Subsection 3(5) of the Public Sector Pension Investment Board Act is replaced by the following:

Coming into Force

330. The provisions of this Act come into force on a day or days to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.

Clause 324: Existing text of subsection 10(3):
(3) For greater certainty, Part III of the Canada Corporations Act, chapter C-32 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1970, applies to the corporation and, in the application of section 102 of that Act to the corporation, a reference to shareholders shall be read as a reference to directors.

9. A charter may be granted under subsection 154(1) of the Canada Corporations Act establishing a settlement corporation within the meaning of the Agreement to carry on, with pecuniary gain to its members, the activities permitted by the Agreement.
Yukon First Nations Land Claims Settlement Act
Clause 329: Existing text of section 10:
10. A charter may be granted under subsection 154(1) of the Canada Corporations Act establishing a settlement corporation, referred to in a final agreement that is in effect, to carry on, with pecuniary gain to its members, the activities permitted by the agreement.
