Members of the Canadian Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union UIPU) participated, two of whom, Rachel Blaney, MP and Sven Spengemann, MP were featured presenters together with Dr. Pechdau Tohmeena from Thailand’s House of Representatives and David Clarke from the World Health Organization. Senator Mohamed-Iqbal Ravalia also attended.

Lord Purvis of Tweed (U.K.) and Ms. Marie-France Lalonde (MP, CAN) addressed a future Canada-U.K. Trade Agreement, while Mr. McKay (in collaboration with High Commissioner Goodale) and Mr. Darren Jones (MP, U.K.) led the discussion on trade and cybersecurity.

Members from the Canadian delegation were Ms. Yvonne Jones, Member of Parliament (MP) for Labrador and Mr. Bob Zimmer, MP for Prince George–Peace River–Northern Rockies. At the meeting, members agreed to postpone the Conference of the Arctic Parliamentarians (CPAR) to 2024, at which time it will be held in Sweden.

FIPA held its 24th Executive Committee meeting in the city of Curitiba, Brazil, on February 19-20, 2011. The meeting was hosted by the State of Paraná, represented by Luiz Carlos Hauly, former Member of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies, who also chaired the meeting as FIPA President.
