The Hon. Michel Marie, Chairperson of the Media Advisory Committee, provided an overview of the roles of the committee. In doing so, he noted the increasing pressure from the House to improve the working relationship with the media and referred to recent initiatives to improve the capacity of journalists, including training workshops.

The opening ceremony included an address from David Carty, Honourable Speaker of the Anguilla House of Assembly, Chairman of the Regional CPA and President of the Anguilla Branch.
