This report provides an overview of the delegation’s participation in the 34th Annual Inter-parliamentary meeting between the Canadian Parliament and the European Parliament, as well as meetings attended in Copenhagen focussing on Denmark’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU).

Terry Davis, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, and Mr. Elmar Brok, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, were the keynote speakers for this debate.

The Speaker reiterated the support of the Canadian Parliament for the work being accomplished by the United Nations and thanked Ms. Lucas for her candour and her time.
