The Canadian delegation was led by Member of Parliament Marie-France Lalonde, Chair of the Canadian branch of the Association, and consisted of Senator René Cormier, Association’s Vice-Chair, as well as Members of Parliament Lena Metlege Diab, Fayçal El-Khoury, Laila Goodridge, Denis Trudel and Dominique Vien.

The next step would be to get the list of budgeted activities for 2012 which the Secretariat planned to maintain in 2013, as well as their detailed costs, so that the members of the working group could rank them according to their priority. The ranking could be debated in Kampala, first within the working group, and then within the Twelve Plus Group.

Terry Davis, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, and Mr. Elmar Brok, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, were the keynote speakers for this debate.
