From the energy and environmental perspectives, Canadian delegates spoke about US climate-change legislation, minimization of the carbon footprint, continental energy security, renewable energy as secure energy, and the nation’s hydroelectric resources, which should be viewed as a renewable source of energy.

Participants also discussed financial management and interparliamentary co-operation programs. Lastly, it was agreed that these matters would be followed up on in advance of the APF’s annual budget.
