An Act to change the name of the electoral district of Châteauguay—Lacolle

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

Name changed to “Châteauguay—Les Jardins-de-Napierville”

1In the representation order declared in force by proclamation of October 1, 2013, under the Electoral Boundaries Readjustment Act, paragraph 21 of the part relating to Quebec is amended by substituting the name “Châteauguay—Les Jardins-de-Napierville” for the name “Châteauguay—Lacolle”.

Coming into Force

Six months after royal assent

2This Act comes into force six months after the day on which it receives royal assent unless the Chief Electoral Officer publishes, before that day, a notice in the Canada Gazette that all the preparations necessary for the implementation of this Act have been made and that it may therefore come into force, in which case this Act comes into force on the day that the notice is published.
