SUMMARY
This enactment requires the Governor in Council to amend the Food and Drugs Regulations to provide for the labelling of any meat product or poultry product whose production includes the use of hormones or antibiotics administered to promote growth or of rendered slaughter waste.

C.R.C., c. 870
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
Food and Drugs Regulations
1. Within nine months after the day on which this Act comes into force, the Governor in Council must amend the Food and Drugs Regulations to require that any meat product or poultry product whose production includes the use of hormones or antibiotics administered to promote growth or of rendered slaughter waste — or the product’s packaging — carry a label clearly indicating that fact.
