SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Canadian Human Rights Act to extend the time limit for filing a complaint with the Canadian Human Rights Commission from one year to two years.
It also requires the Commission to consider a complaint that is filed after the two-year period allowed if it is of the opinion that the complainant was prevented from filing it within that time period.

SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi canadienne sur les droits de la personne afin de faire passer de un an à deux ans le délai prévu pour le dépôt d’une plainte devant la Commission canadienne des droits de la personne.
Il exige également que la Commission examine les plaintes déposées après l’expiration de ce délai si elle estime que le plaignant a été empêché de déposer sa plainte avant cette expiration.
