1. Schedule 2 to the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act is amended by adding the following in numerical order:
|
|
|
|

16. Products made in whole or in part of dog or cat fur.

2. The definition “consumer textile article” in section 2 of the Textile Labelling Act is amended by striking out “or” at the end of paragraph (a), by adding “or” at the end of paragraph (b) and by adding the following after paragraph (b):
|
|
|
(c) any product made in whole or in part of animal skin from which the hair or fur has not been removed
|
|
|
|
2. La définition de « article textile de consommation », à l’article 2 de la Loi sur l’étiquetage des textiles, est remplacée par ce qui suit :
|
|
|
|
« article textile de consommation » Fibre ou fil textile, tissu ou peau d’animal garnie de son poil ou de sa fourrure — ou produit fait en tout ou en partie de l’un de ces éléments — prêt à être vendu tel quel pour consommation ou usage autre que la fabrication, la transformation ou le finissage d’un produit destiné à la vente.

3. Subparagraph 6(b)(i) of the Act is replaced by the following:
|
|
|
|

Coming into force

4. This Act comes into force 30 days after the day on which it receives royal assent.
|
|
|
|
