SUMMARY |

The purpose of this enactment is to require the government to deal
with the issue of compensation for forced labour to the more than two
thousand Canadian veterans taken prisoner by the Japanese in Hong
Kong in 1941 and forced to work in forced labour camps for forty four
months.
