Brenda Shanahan, MP, presented some of the Parliament of Canada’s various mechanisms for holding parliamentarians responsible and accountable. She also stressed the importance of transparency as well as personal and institutional responsibility in building trust between parliamentarians and the public.

MP Francis Drouin, President of the Canadian Branch and First Vice-President of the APF, chaired the meeting on behalf of the APF’s President. The members of the permanent delegation discussed the political situations in Armenia, Lebanon and Mali.
