The frank commentary provided on these three important subjects stimulated extensive discussion among the participants and their guests. On 28 June 2021, the Canada-United Kingdom Inter-Parliamentary Association (RUUK) and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association UK (CPA UK) held their third bilateral meeting of 2021.

The Commission also approved the report on follow-up of the 10-year strategic framework and adopted the notice submitted at the Quebec City summit of heads of state and the version of the resolution on migration policies in Francophone countries submitted by the Bureau. It adopted the report on access to information for all citizens.

The Assembly’s budget covers most of the organizational expenses related to the Annual Session, Winter Meeting, Fall Meetings, Standing Committee and Bureau Meetings, official visits, the election observation programme, as well as the costs of the International Secretariat.

The Organization generated revenues that were $5,912 below the budget forecasts. The total expenses, however, were inferior to the budget forecasts ($405,190 instead of $452,154) what allowed the Organization to show an actual surplus of $43,900. She informed the Members that FIPA will be audited at the end of 2010.

The delegation participated in a regular committee meeting and in a seminar on “The world economic crisis: coping with the aftermath,” which was chaired by the Rt. Hon. John Prescott MP, Leader of the UK delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

In addition, Senator Nolin, Treasurer of the NATO PA, presented his report which accounted for NATO PA spending in 2011. The report was approved by the Standing Committee after a period of discussion. Members of the Canadian delegation had the opportunity to meet with Canada’s Ambassador to the Baltic states, Mr. John Morrison.
