The Honourable Peter Milliken, M.P., Speaker of the House of Co mmons and a parliamentary delegation visited the Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia from April 18 to 27, 2008.

He also considered that the Francophonie played a key role in cultural diversity. The President of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco, Abdelwahad Radi, also made opening remarks. The Secretary General of the Francophonie, Abdou Diouf, gave a speech to the parliamentarians in attendance.

The committee is made up of a number of senators and MPs reflecting the proportionate share of the operating budget of the Branch as contributed by the Senate and the House of Commons, respectively. Committee members are elected at the CPA’s General Assembly.
