Participants also discussed the impact of the U.S. election on Canada and the EU’s bilateral and multilateral relations with that country, notably with respect to trade and climate change. The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting and extended a particular welcome to Mr Daniel Reisiegel (Czech Republic) who was attending the Steering Committee for the first time as part of the rotating membership system between Slovenia, Poland and the Czech Republic.
