From April 25 to 27, 2016, the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Honourable Geoff Regan, P.C., M.P., led a parliamentary delegation on a visit to the United Kingdom and France. This visit to Canada provided an excellent opportunity to deepen the bilateral relations between both countries and both parliaments. Discussions on the administration of the Senate and the House of Commons, parliamentary procedure, the use of new information technologies and heritage assets management provided the Scottish delegation with useful information for their parliament.

From January 16 to 26, 2010, the Honourable Noël A. Kinsella, Speaker of the Senate, led an official parliamentary delegation to Latvia and Liechtenstein.
