From 25-26 June 2007, members of the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group attended the 31st conference of the New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers (NEG-ECP) held in Brudenell, Prince Edward Island. This report summarizes the major points made during the conference.

Representing the CAFR were its Chair, Marie France Lalonde, MP, and two Vice-Chairs, the Honourable Senator René Cormier, and Jacques Gourde, MP. The other Executive Committee members in attendance were senators Jean Guy Dagenais and Pierre Dalphond, and Steven Blaney, MP.

Members from the Canadian delegation were Ms. Yvonne Jones, Member of Parliament (MP) for Labrador and Mr. Bob Zimmer, MP for Prince George–Peace River–Northern Rockies. At the meeting, members agreed to postpone the Conference of the Arctic Parliamentarians (CPAR) to 2024, at which time it will be held in Sweden.
