Joël Godin est intervenu afin de demander une planification plus détaillée pour ce projet et qu’une présentation en soit faite au prochain Bureau.

This report provides an overview of the delegation’s participation in the 34th Annual Inter-parliamentary meeting between the Canadian Parliament and the European Parliament, as well as meetings attended in Copenhagen focussing on Denmark’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU).

The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen relations between Canadian and Lithuanian parliamentarians. Discussions dealt with the question of visa requirements by Canada for Lithuanian citizens wishing to visit Canada; cooperation between Canada and Lithuania on the international scene; bilateral relations, responsibilities of Canada and Lithuania in NATO; trade; and community safety. From June 29-July 1, 2011, Mr. Gord Brown, M.P., Co-Chair of the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group (IPG) represented the Canadian Section of the IPG at the 2011 annual meeting of the Western Governors’ Association (WGA) in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Eight U.S. Governors and the Premier of British Columbia attended the meeting, as did Canada’s Ambassador to the United States.
