The financial reports for conferences hosted by the Parliament of Canada disclose travel and hospitality expenses, broken down by individual or group, and are published within 60 days of the end of each quarter.

The Canadian Group of the IPU, established in its current form on August 2, 1960, consists of Senators and Members of Parliament of all political affiliations. Both former and current members of the Canadian Group have served as rapporteurs and chairs of the IPU’s four standing committees and geopolitical groups.

Beyond the already mentioned meetings, Speaker Rota and the delegation had the opportunity to informally exchange with several Members of Parliament in both jurisdictions, where matters such as the bilateral relationship and the importance of parliamentary exchanges were highlighted and expanded upon.

The association convenes an annual meeting, alternating between Canada and the United States, attended by delegates from the Parliament of Canada and the United States Congress where they seek to identify shared values and find possible solutions to a variety of bilateral and multilateral matters of concern to both countries.

In support of its objectives, the Association regularly conducts bilateral visits abroad, receives incoming delegations to the Parliament of Canada and organizes briefing sessions and other learning opportunities on issues relevant to Africa.
