The visit made it possible to continue ongoing parliamentary dialogue between members of Parliament and members of the Assembly and serve to strengthen bilateral ties between the lower chambers.

The Canadian delegation to the 28-29 February 2008 meeting of the Standing Committee of Parliamentarians of the Arctic Region (the Standing Committee) consisted of the Honourable Yoine Goldstein. Accompanying the delegation was Mr. Tim Williams from the Parliamentary Information and Research Service of the Library of Parliament as advisor to the delegation.

To this end, delegates learned about the parliamentary and political scene at Westminster. The 19th Plenary Assembly was dedicated to exploring the importance of parliamentary engagement in the inter-American system and the need for parliamentary insights on the issues of hemispheric importance discussed in these spaces.

On 28 June 2021, the Canada-United Kingdom Inter-Parliamentary Association (RUUK) and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association UK (CPA UK) held their third bilateral meeting of 2021.

As the representative of the Canadian Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), it was both an honour and a privilege to be chosen to represent Canada as an observer to this conference.
