Next, Mr. Samson gave an update on recent Canadian parliamentary events and highlighted two bills currently before the Parliament of Canada: Bill C-13, An Act for the Substantive Equality of Canada’s Official Languages, and Bill C-22, the Canada Disability Benefit Act.

Jointly organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the European Parliament, the event was planned to coincide with the Twelfth WTO Ministerial Conference (MC12) scheduled to take place at the end of November 2021. Ambassador Dacio Castillo, Chair of the WTO’s General Council, delivered the webinar’s keynote address.
