Bill C-22

SUMMARY

This enactment imposes reporting duties on persons who provide an Internet service to the public if they are advised of an Internet address where child pornography may be available to the public or if they have reasonable grounds to believe that their Internet service is being or has been used to commit a child pornography offence. This enactment makes it an offence to fail to comply with the reporting duties.

Le texte oblige les personnes qui fournissent des services Internet au public à faire rapport si elles sont avisées d’une adresse Internet où pourrait se trouver de la pornographie juvénile accessible au public ou si elles ont des motifs raisonnables de croire à l’utilisation de leurs services Internet pour la perpétration d’une infraction relative à la pornographie juvénile. Il érige en infraction le fait pour ces personnes de contrevenir à ces obligations.
