Parliamentary Officers' Study Program (POSP)
An English-language session of the Parliamentary Officers’ Study Program took place in Ottawa from February 2 to 6, 2026.
Throughout the week, participants learned about the practices and procedures of the Canadian Parliament and reflected on their own parliamentary practices. They met with the Speaker of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Clerk of the Senate, the Clerk of the House of Commons, the Parliamentary Librarian, and other senior officials of the Parliament of Canada. The program also included presentations, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, visits, and networking activities.
The session provided a unique opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and expertise with their counterparts, gain comparative insights into different parliamentary systems, and expand their network of professional contacts.
