Coming Into Force
(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act comes into force on the day on which it receives royal assent.

(2) Paragraph 38(1)(c), as enacted by section 3 of this Act, comes into force on the day on which subsection 30(5) of the Food and Drugs Act, as enacted by section 2 of An Act to amend the Patent Act and the Food and Drugs Act (The Jean Chrétien Pledge to Africa), chapter 23 of the Statutes of Canada, 2004, comes into force.
