SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Criminal Code to allow a physician, at a person’s request and subject to certain conditions, to assist that person to end his or her life if he or she is enduring intolerable suffering or is in a state of weakening capacities due to illness, disease or disability.

Le texte modifie le Code criminel afin d’autoriser les médecins, sous réserve des conditions prévues, à aider à mourir toute personne affligée de souffrances insupportables ou se trouvant dans un état d'affaiblissement de ses capacités en raison d’une maladie ou d’une incapacité lorsque celle-ci en fait la demande.
