SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Canada Elections Act to require that, where a political party has an electoral district association in a riding, a prospective candidate for the riding must have their nomination papers signed by the chief executive officer and by one board member of the electoral district association in order to stand as that party’s candidate.

SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi électorale du Canada afin d’exiger que, dans le cas où un parti politique compte une association de circonscription dans une circonscription donnée, la personne qui désire se porter candidat du parti dans cette circonscription fasse signer son acte de candidature par le premier dirigeant et un membre du conseil d’administration de cette association.
