SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Parliament of Canada Act to prohibit the members of the House of Commons from using funds, goods, services or premises made available to them for the carrying out of parliamentary functions to support or oppose the appointment or the election of a person to the board of directors of the Canadian Wheat Board or to that of any federal body. The enactment also amends the Canada Post Corporation Act to prohibit those members from transmitting mail free of postage for the same purpose.

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:
R.S., c. P-1
PARLIAMENT OF CANADA ACT
1. Section 52.6 of the Parliament of Canada Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (1):
Prohibited use
(1.1) Despite subsection (1), funds, goods, services or premises may not be used to support or oppose the appointment or election of a person to the board of directors of the Canadian Wheat Board or to that of any federal body.

CANADA POST CORPORATION ACT
2. (1) Section 35 of the Canada Post Corporation Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (4):
Prohibited transmission
(4.1) Despite subsections (2) and (3), members of the House of Commons may not transmit mail free of postage to support or
oppose the appointment or election of a person to the board of directors of the Canadian Wheat Board or to that of any federal body.
