SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Public Service Employment Act to include members of the Canadian Forces who have served in a special duty area for at least 36 months among the groups of persons who have priority for appointment to the public service. This priority also applies to the surviving spouse or surviving common-law partner of an eligible Canadian Forces member, and extends for a period of one year after the member ceases to be a member of the Canadian Forces.
