An Act to amend An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and the Income Tax Act

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et avec le consentement du Sénat et de la Chambre des communes du Canada, édicte :

1. Section 26 of An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and the Income Tax Act, being chapter 24 of the Statutes of Canada, 2004, is replaced by the following:

1. L’article 26 de la Loi modifiant la Loi électorale du Canada et la Loi de l’impôt sur le revenu, chapitre 24 des Lois du Canada (2004), est remplacé par ce qui suit :

26. Within two years after the coming into force of this section, the committee of the Senate that normally considers electoral matters, and the committee of the House of Commons that normally considers electoral matters, shall each undertake a comprehensive review of the amendments made by this Act and submit a report to its House containing its recommendations concerning those amendments.

26. Dans les deux ans qui suivent l’entrée en vigueur du présent article, le comité du Sénat et le comité de la Chambre des communes habituellement chargés des questions électorales examinent à fond les modifications apportées par la présente loi et déposent devant leur chambre respective un rapport où sont consignées leurs recommandations.

An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and the Income Tax Act Clause 1: Existing text of section 26: 26. The amendments made by this Act cease to have effect on the day that is two years after the day on which this Act comes into force or, if Parliament is not then in session, on the day that is 90 days after the commencement of the next ensuing session.		Loi modifiant la Loi électorale du Canada et la Loi de l’impôt sur le revenu Article 1 : Texte de l’article 26 : 26. Les modifications apportées par la présente loi cessent d’avoir effet deux ans après son entrée en vigueur ou, si le Parlement n’est pas alors en session, quatre-vingt-dix jours après le début de la session suivante.
